Own a Piece of Husker History: The Authentic Memorial Stadium Bleacher Bench
Bring the legacy of Lincoln directly into your home with a true collector’s masterpiece. This isn't just furniture; it’s a tangible piece of college football history that belongs in the ultimate fan cave.
Crafted from the original seating of Memorial Stadium, this bench is built from ultra-rare Alaskan Yellow Cedar (historically referred to as Alaskan White Pine). For more than six decades, this magnificent, exceptionally durable grain was hidden away—perfectly preserved beneath vinyl stadium covers. Now, this 60-plus-year-old wood has been carefully salvaged, restored, and given a new life. Because old-growth Alaskan Yellow Cedar of this caliber is incredibly rare and virtually unavailable on the commercial market today, this bench is a strictly limited-edition heirloom that cannot be replicated.
Whether it's the anchor of your entryway or the focal point of your game-day sanctuary, this bench commands attention and tells a story of decades of Husker glory.
Key Features:
-
Authentic Stadium Provenance: Built using the original, salvaged wood seats from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
-
Ultra-Rare Material: Crafted from historic Alaskan Yellow Cedar (Alaskan White Pine), a premium and famously durable wood species that is practically impossible to source today.
-
Decades in the Making: The wood itself is over 60 years old, carrying the energy of countless historic Saturdays.
-
Perfectly Preserved: Hidden and protected under vinyl covers for over 40 years, the wood has retained its structural integrity and unique character.
-
Authentic Details: Features softly pressed, hand-stamped seat numbers that honor the original stadium aesthetic without harsh routed edges.
-
Heavy-Duty Craftsmanship: Supported by custom-fabricated, industrial steel bases featuring the iconic 'N'.
Note to buyers: Because we use authentic, reclaimed stadium materials, every bench features unique grain patterns, historic wear, and distinctive character marks. No two benches are exactly alike.

Before you buy
Is this really from Memorial Stadium?
Yes. Every piece was removed directly from Memorial Stadium during the Big Red Rebuild, not made to look like it was. Each item is documented in its original location before removal so its history stays connected to the stadium.
What condition should I expect?
These are original pieces from a working stadium, not reproductions. Expect scratches, fading, marks, and other signs of years of use. We clean each piece and make it safe to handle, but we do not restore it to look new. The wear is part of its story.
Why is there a removal and handling fee?
The removal and handling fee varies by item based on the work required to remove, prepare, and handle it. Fees are shown clearly in your cart before checkout.
When will I get my item?
Items are released as they come out of Memorial Stadium, and different parts of the building come out at different times.
Anything that ships, ships after the season ends, and you will get an email with tracking the day it goes out.
Seats come out during Thanksgiving week. Once they are assembled and processed they will be ready for pickup in Lincoln in early 2027, by appointment — we will write to you when yours is ready. You do not need to chase us.
How do I pay?
Checkout is handled securely through Shopify. Build your order on BuyGBR.com, then complete your payment through Shopify checkout.
Where do I pick up my order?
Pickup will take place in Lincoln by appointment once your items are ready. We will contact you with pickup details and available times, so you will not need to contact us to find out when your order is ready.
Are the product photos of the exact item I will receive?
Not always. Many of the images on the site are artistic renditions and may not show the exact condition of the item you receive. Each rendition is based on photographs of the actual items inside Memorial Stadium.
Because these are original stadium pieces, condition and wear will vary from item to item.
What happens if an item I purchased cannot be removed or is damaged during removal?
If an item purchased during the presale cannot be successfully removed from Memorial Stadium, or is damaged during removal, you will receive a full refund.
Will more Memorial Stadium items be added to the site?
Yes. More items will be added throughout the holiday season and into next year. Keep checking back to see what other pieces and treasures from Memorial Stadium become available.
What if an item I want is sold out?
For most items, “SOLD OUT” means no additional inventory is available. For select items, there may be a chance that more inventory becomes available.
If there is a sold-out piece you were hoping to preserve, contact support@raregoods.com for more information.
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes. If you cannot pick up your order yourself, someone else can pick it up on your behalf. They must bring the QR code included in your pickup confirmation email.
Can I have a pickup-only item shipped to me?
No. If an item is listed as pickup only, it must be picked up in Lincoln. Shipping is not available for stadium seats, chairs, or other large items.
Where do you ship?
Items marked “Shipping Available” can be shipped within the contiguous United States.
We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. island territories.
